With the temperatures on the rise, the great British public will be dusting off the barbecues, ready to char-grill whatever they can find.
Here are my top tips for making your barbecue really healthy, so that your guests will go home well fed, but not bloated:
1. Invest in the best ingredients. Barbecues are absolutely perfect for healthy eating, as they are based on the principle of eating real, not processed, food. Spend your budget on the best real ingredients you can find - steak, fillets of fish, local chops, (sliced) fresh vegetables – and don’t waste any money on processed burgers and white buns. Even children at the party can enjoy real meat stuffed into whole meal pita bread - they can add handfuls of greens and dips and enjoy 'making their own'.
