Will whole grains make you live longer?
I was spoilt for choice with this week’s note. I was in the news with this editorial in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, but I’ve blogged on it here, so I can cover a different topic in this note.
Some fellow researchers, who, like me, don’t think that cholesterol is trying to kill you, had a high impact publication in the headlines last Monday morning. The journal article is here and this was an example headline: “High cholesterol 'does not cause heart disease' new research finds, so treating with statins a 'waste of time'”.
A great start to last week! But the one I want to cover in today’s Monday note is the notion that eating whole grains will make you live longer.
