Three interesting things about fish

This week we share three things that you may not know about fish. Fish is one of only two zero carb food groups (the other one being meat) but there are some interesting differences in composition beyond this... 1. There are big differences in protein/fat ratios: White fish is generally the highest protein/lowest fat fish. As an example, cod is 93% protein and 7% fat. Mackerel, as an example of the group known as ‘oily fish’ is 39% protein and 61% fat. Salmon is somewhere in between with a 60:40 protein:fat ratio.
